Which I love. But my narrator is human … hence the mechanical wrangling!! He is clairvoyant… so maybe it could be made to work :) I’m on the precipice!

That sounds distinctly tasty! Certainly worth exploring... And of course there's The Book Thief, which is narrated by Death.
